[ She's done responding, frustrated at his stubbornness. She pockets her phone and marches straight on until she's going through the front door, letting it slam behind her. ]
[ She spots the bottle and glass and walks over to get both. She picks them up and heads towards her bedroom. Still not look up at him but giving out a small, ]
Thank you.
[ Jarvis will clearly be able to see that she is not alright. Not at all. ]
[And he doesn't like this one bit. It took quite a bit to shake up a strong woman like Peggy and in a place like this, the options of what it might have been were endless.
He took a few steps to follow her but stopped short of her door. He'd hardly enter uninvited.]
[ She doesn't say anything else to Jarvis. Even though she appreciates his support (and restraint) more than she can express. She goes to her room and closes and locks the door. She ends up flopping on the floor next to her bed and has a good cry, still holding the bottle and glass in her hands.
The kind she never indulges in front of others. She can't allow herself to.
There's so many reasons why she cries, the main one being all the work and sacrifices that were made to protect the world they knew had all been in vain. Steve's sacrifice, Bucky's, all the soldiers and agents that had died in the line duty, everything her, Howard, and Jarvis had worked so hard to salvage. All of it, a waste if the future ends up the way Bucky described.
She has to make it right.
But right now... she needs to let it out while she has the space. It's hard to ignore one's heart being crushed. ]
[Feeling rather helpless, Jarvis retreats from her door after lingering a moment more. Perhaps he held some hope that she might change her mind and confide in him, but that did not appear to be the case. With a heavy sigh he turned back to the couch and took a seat. If she was not ready to let him help now, he would certainly be ready to do so when she was.
In the meantime she opened a book and pretended to read it for his own sake, even if he could not focus on the words to save his life. There were, sadly, too many things to count that might have driven any of his friends in this place to drink. He only wished he knew how to make these sort of problems better.]

[ She does want some; comfort food + something to stop her head from pouding. But she also knows it's asking a bit after the way she came in earlier. ]
[And soon after his message is sent there's a knock at her door. He's standing outside with a tray that contains two bowls of piping hot macaroni and cheese and a pitcher of water with glasses.]
[ By the time he comes up, she's changed out of her clothes and into her nightgown and robe. Her face washed and even drank some water. Her face is still blotchy, eye red-rimmed, but she feels more composed now that she had before.
Softly, after opening the door and stepping aside to let him in, ]
[He takes a tentative step inside. While he and Peggy had come to a mutual agreement while they were in Eudio, all of their cuddling had taken place in the neutrality of the living room. Being in her private space was something different altogether. But he was there to cheer his friend and so he steeled his resolve.]
Of course. [He busied himself with setting down the try on a small table.] How are you feeling?

Where shall I meet you?

Agent Carter? [He may have been surprised, but there was still concern in his look.] Are you alright?

Do you have it?

I've finished. Will you come out or should I bring it to you?
